Weekly Updates
7th and 8th graders worked from the textbook, completed a Readworks, and worked on AR. We ended the week with AR reading and meetings to make sure all are on the right track to accomplish their individualized goals for the quarter which are due the day after we return from Winter Break.
9th grade has begun reading To Kill a Mockingbird. We will be in full throttle to complete this before final exams the week before break. Please-no spoiler alerts!
The Seniors finished their children’s books and shared them with the 2nd grade classes. It is a joy seeing them interact with each other! They are now working on their cooperative novella focused on their 5-year class reunion. These are always interesting!
Speech team did a great job with our skeleton crew at the Stockton meet last Saturday, and are at practice as I type this note on this cold Friday evening to prepare to board the bus before dawn tomorrow morning for the Rochelle competition. Speak on!
Much to do before break.
Have a great weekend!
