August and September Highlights:  We began our career exploration and workplace preparation by completing a variety of online activities to help identify student strengths and interests.  Students are narrowing down possible career options and looking at how they fit into the 16 Career Clusters .  Resume writing and completing a reality check to find out if a career will provide enough income to live have been our most recent activities.  We are actively planning our job shadowing visits to be completed during the months of October and November.

October Highlights:  The month has been a busy one for Tech 21 students.  We ventured out on our first field trip to the University of Wisconsin-Platteville on October 1st to attend the college fair and take a tour of the college.  Students had a chance to network and talk to reps from over 100 colleges and tech schools.  Job shadows were done this month (and a few in early November) and helped students get a first-hand look at a career of interest.  Experiences ranged from making rounds with nurses at a local hospital to witnessing a surgery at a local vet clinic.
